Training Formats
Speaking & Keynotes
Inspiring, educational, and actionable. This content is personalized for your event, built from local stories to connect with your audience. Talks are available in person, live virtually, and pre-recorded.
Workshop Intensives
Ideal for staff training, conferences, and retreats. Over a few dedicated hours, workshop participants receive education, hands-on practice, realistic tools, and empowerment to make their ideas happen.
1:1 Advisor Meetings
Bring in an outside eye to provide unbiased feedback, perspective beyond your own, and general assistance. Ask for info on trends and current events, troubleshoot your existing services and programs, or lean on a collaborator as you design new programs.
Idea Labs & Micro-trainings
These fun, low-pressure labs offer a 5-15 minute “micro-training” on a niche topic of your choice, followed by a facilitated 25-45 minute brainstorming session with participants. Attendees report an infusion of ideas and renewed enthusiasm. Micro-training video recordings are also available individually.
Training FAQs
I already get your free trainings. What makes Libraries4DE worth hiring?
The purpose of this website, newsletter, and community is to build leaders for local digital inclusion work in libraries across the nation. We hope our free trainings, news, and resources meets that need!
That said, we know your needs are unique. In a custom training from Libraries for Digital Equity, you’ll get person-focused content and genuinely good ideas over a longer time frame. Just read the reviews.
Who will be my trainer?
Most Libraries4DE trainings are facilitated by founder Liz Gabbitas. (Check out her work on her website or LinkedIn.) Chief Editor Bernard Ino takes engagements on a few topics, but for the majority, Liz will be excited to share 10+ years of direct experience and incredible professional resources.
Libraries4DE also pulls from a pool of talented and experienced trainers. It’s important to us that your trainer is well within their specialty. Especially for highly specialized topics, we will subcontract with an excellent professional we trust whose expertise is best suited for the requested training to ensure quality content for you.
I have a limited budget. Can you build me a custom training for free?
Our website is full of free content meant to reach any library, regardless of staff training budget. Don’t see what you need? You are welcome to suggest topics of interest! We want our free trainings to be relevant and useful to you.
For full length trainings, Libraries4DE will charge reasonable speaker fees so professionals are compensated for their time and expertise. We are committed to this equity-in-action policy. If you’re concerned it might be out of your budget, please mention this when you fill out the contact form. Reducing the training length, selecting a previously presented topic, waiving recording licenses, and swapping out presentation time for facilitated Q&A time are all great ways to lower the cost.
We also love working on sponsored trainings. Have a local business or library vendor who wants to offer a little extra support to your library? Let’s work together! We can act as the middle-man to organize a staff event that fits your needs without dipping into your own pockets.
Help! I need a trainer TOMORROW.
Libraries4DE can accommodate last minute requests! Please text 801-949-7694 if you need an answer faster than 1 business day. (Rush fees will apply.) Otherwise, your contact form will receive an answer within 3 business days.

“Great energy, wonderful presentation. Best one yet. Nailing it on the slides and great use of analysis. Thank you Libraries4DE! PREACH!!”
